While helping out in the expo booths, I noticed many card makers don't realize the true potential of Club Scrap's page kits. I loved what Karen did with the You Go, Girl collection earlier this year. Having those samples in the booth really helped open the eyes of card makers.
With that in mind, I recently challenged myself to see how many cards I could create from the Casino Royale page kit. I chose four formulas from the Idea Deck Volume 5: The 8 of Hearts, 9 of Hearts and the 10 and King of Diamonds. (These card making formulas are still available as a download in the digital store.)
This combination of formulas required eleven 12x12 papers, allowing me to keep one 12x12 White plain for matting and stamping. I only loosely followed the assembly sketches so I could incorporate Cutaparts and the Casino Royale stamps. Photo mats from the kits were used for stamping and additional matting.
CASINO ROYALE CARDS
8 OF HEARTS
- Gold plain
- Red plain
- White "Suit" Print
Texture emboss gold panel. Stamp dice on black card stock and heat emboss with White EP.
Let the cutapart do all the work. Add a three part bow on the side. Easy peasy!
Ink edges of elements. Add sentiment to panel. Fill spade shape on charm with black Nuvo drops, top with twine and adhere to card.
Use plain side printed paper for the triple mats. Stamp, heat emboss and fussy cut collage image. Trim Cutapart sentiment to fit inside wheel. Add twine behind image adhered with dimensional foam adhesive. Attach mini playing cards with Bookbinding glue.
Stamp, heat emboss and fussy cut collage. Trim into thirds to fit on triple panels. Use border strip in background. Trim ribbon to banner shape, tuck behind stamped sentiment.
Emboss red panel. Attach Cutapart sentiment. Add narrow black strips for definition. Using bookbinding glue create a "hand" from the mini playing cards. Add dots of black Nuvo drops.
9 of HEARTS
- Black Plain
- White "Dice" Print
Distress edges of dice panel. Stamp sentiment on black strip and heat emboss with White EP.
Add the second sentiment on the inside of card.
Apply silver washi tape and heart brads (from stash) to black border strip. Stamp, heat emboss and fussy cut card image. Trim Cutapart for sentiment.
Adhere the rest of sentiment on the inside.
Create a circle mask, stamp card image in red onto center of coaster. Stamp and heat emboss sentiment. Add texture to the black panel using an embossing folder. Add twine to charm and fill spade shape with black Nuvo drops.
Stamp and emboss sentiment on black strip. Staple ribbon to cut apart and use foam adhesive to adhere.
10 OF DIAMONDS

- Red plain

Stamp collage onto white plain panels. Stamp, heat emboss and fussy cut poker chips. Add sentiment. Wrap ribbon around print panel and tie a bow. (Red heart brads from stash.)
Layer coaster, stamped and fussy cut card image behind red panel. Stamp sentiment and adhere under spade Cutapart.
Stamp first part of sentiment on top panel, and second part of sentiment on bottom panel. Trim edges of gold ribbon. Add red heart brads from stash.
Texture emboss white plain panels. Trim edges of gold paper and layer behind heart Cutapart. Staple ribbon. Layer fussy cut chips and mini cards. Add red Nuvo drops to heart image for dimension.
Emboss red panels. Stamp and heat emboss sentiment on black. Wrap twine around small red panel and add card charm. Fill spade shape with black Nuvo drops.
Texture emboss red panels. Stamp sentiment onto printed panel. Layer coaster behind sentiment. Stamp, heat emboss and fussy cut poker chips. Use foam adhesive on one chip for dimension.
KING OF DIAMONDS
- Gold plain
- Black plain

Texture emboss gold panel. Stamp, heat emboss and fussy cut red poker chips. Heat emboss sentiment. Layer red ribbon onto border. Add dots of white Nuvo drops.
Add texture to gold panel using an embossing folder. Stamp, heat emboss and fussy cut poker chips. Layer behind Cutapart.
Stamp and heat emboss collage image on black panel. Wrap twine around Cutapart sentiment. Layer red ribbon onto gold border.
Stamp, heat emboss and fussy cut dice. Add twine. Stamp and heat emboss sentiment.
Stamp remaining sentiment on inside of card.
Layer gold ribbon with black strip. Attach Cutapart sentiment.
Use an embossing folder on black panel. Stamp, heat emboss and fussy cut card image. Use narrow red strips to highlight sentiment. Add white Nuvo drops.
