It's easy to transform your paper stash into finished cards—if you have the right tools! Club Scrap card formulas are so much more than a sketch; each one provides detailed trimming and assembly instructions. You'll be cranking out cards in your own "formula factory" in no time!
If you haven't tried our unique crafting method, now is the time! Tricia originally designed this formula for an in-person workshop at the 2026 Great Lakes Mega Meet. Once you complete the class kit, it's easy to recycle the formula with papers and supplies you already have on hand. Watch the preview below:
Card Formula Factory
The Formula Factory Project Kit includes everything you need to complete your first set of six cards in a box, including printed instructions and a link to the video tutorial. Once the initial project is complete, recycle the instructions to make even more sets—they make awesome gifts!
Getting Started
Gather papers from your stash as outlined on the instructions—in this case, Black Folding Board, six Ivory A2 Envelopes and six coordinating 12x12 papers. Follow the paper trimming instructions and sort the pieces. Assemble the box sleeve and drawer as directed.
Deal out the trimmed elements to dry fit each card structure. Finally, add cutaparts (or stamped sentiments on light colored paper) to the appropriate panels and assemble each card with the help of a grid ruler and ATG adhesive.
Black Tie Box and Cards
To replicate my Black Tie cards, gather Black Folding Board plus the following papers from the collection:
- Paper A: White
- Paper B, C, D: Cream Speckle, Gold, Black
- Paper E: Ivory
- Paper F: Diamond Print
After dry-fitting and assembling the cards, it's time to add sentiments and embellishments.
Stamp the image and sentiment (Black Tie stamps) with India Black ink.
Rotate the card base to a horizontal orientation; add the greeting with India Black ink.
Stamp the outer and inner sentiment with Moss CS® Hybrid ink.
Finally, stamp the large collage image onto the 4.25x5.75" front panel of the sleeve. Mask off the individual section of the artwork and apply ink to each area with an Ink Applicator Brush. (I used Ash, Moss and Yellow CS® Hybrid ink.)
Stamp the sentiment and frame onto an Ivory scrap, trim and adhere with foam adhesive.

Cabana Box and Cards
To replicate Tricia's project, gather a sheet of Kraft Folding Board, six A2 White Envelopes, and stamps and papers from the Cabana collection:
- Paper A: Med. Blue
- Paper B, C, D: Gold, Lt. Blue, Dk. Blue
- Paper E: White
- Paper F: Blue Print
Add images and sentiments to each card panel with Ocean CS® Hybrid and India Black ink.
Rotate at least one card to a horizontal orientation for added interest.
For a bit of added flair, tie sheer organza ribbon around the sentiment panel. Embellish with mini silver sequins.
Finally, nest a scrap of Yellow Print onto the 4.25x5.75 (Paper E) sleeve cover panel. Wrap with natural jute tied into a bow. Adhere a large shell and tiny stars from the Cabana Shell Dazzle Sticker sheet to the smaller nested panels.
Now that you've mastered the basics, recycle the formula with additional papers, stamps and embellishments from your stash.
