I can't wait to share some of the potential of the Beautiful Noise stamps!

It's always a good idea to set the stage for a creative performance. Start your favorite music playlist, turn on a room diffuser, and tidy up your area before making a mess of it again. (Right?)

I typically make a set of 6-8 cards on my first round of stamp experimentation.

Let's take a closer look at each card, and I'll share a few techniques and tips.

Beautiful Noise Stamps

Card 1

Finished size: 4.25x5.5"

A musical staff consists of five lines. Replicate the staff by making five equally spaced score lines onto an Ivory panel with a ScorPal. Next, stamp the treble clef image onto the staff, aligning the rounded curve of the clef near the bottom line. Stamp the sentiments above and below the staff with India Black ink. Finally, tie a knot in the burgundy ribbon and wrap around the card panel. Mat several times with POPs and layer onto a folded card base.

Finished size: 4.25x5.5"

Place the large music image onto an acrylic mounting block and lightly mist the stamp with water. Color onto the stamp with assorted watercolor crayons. Mist again, if needed, and stamp onto one half of a watercolor paper panel. (Have a few extra panels ready. Simply mist the stamp with more water, and stamp several more panels until the image fades.) Splatter or brush the panel with additional watercolors and allow it to dry completely. Stamp the sentiment with black ink, mat several times, and layer onto a folded card base. Don't forget the bow!

Card 3

Finished size: 4.25x5.5"

Stamp the music score image onto a Burgundy panel with white pigment ink, allow it to dry, and tear away the edges. Layer onto an Ivory panel. Thread brown canvas ribbon onto the top of a stamped Manila tag and tap the ends to the back of the panel. Fold a second piece of ribbon in half and tape to the back of the tag and wrap around the panel. Adhere the tag with foam adhesive and tuck a skeleton leaf (Alpine) behind the tag.

Card 4

Finished size: 4.25x5.5"

Die cut a circle into an Ivory panel, allowing the edge of the circle to pass the edge of the panel. Layer onto a printed panel of the same size. Criss-cross the panel with waxed linen thread and tie a bow. Stamp three mini flowers onto an Ivory scrap with Red/Mahogony ink and fussy cut. Add to the circular opening with foam adhesive circles. Finish with a stamped sentiment and layer onto a folded card base.

Finished size: 4.25x5.5"

Stamp the music score onto an Ivory panel with earth ink, tear away the edges and sponge with additional Earth ink. Splatter with brown watercolor. Next, mount, mist and color the floral image with green and fuchsia watercolors; stamp onto the panel. Mist, and stamp again. Add a treble clef stamped with Ocean ink (returning to our inventory soon!) Stamp and mat a sentiment and layer with foam adhesive circles.

Card 6

Finished size: 4.25x5.5"

Stamp the floral image into the lower left corner of an Ivory panel with Red/Mahogany ink. (First, stamp heavily with Red ink, and then follow with a light tap of Mahogany.) Use the mini grid ruler included in the page kit or card kit to draw a frame around the perimeter of the card with a fine-tipped black pen. Lift the pen in the stamped areas. Mask the frame and brush Earth ink along the edges to create a faux shadow within the frame. Finally, add a sentiment and double-looped bow to the card.

Card 7

Finished size: 5x7"

Stamp the music score at an angle onto a Lt. Blue panel with Ocean ink. Repeat stamping until the panel is filled. Add a floral image to the lower left and upper right corners. Stamp the manila tag with a sentiment and mini flowers. Thread ribbon onto the tag, and cross the tails before adhering to the back of the panel. Pop the tag with foam adhesive circles.

I've already been seeing some beautiful artwork created with this sheet of stamps posted to our Facebook chat group. Keep inspiring others by sharing your work!

Now, off to play with next month's Pacific Northwest stamps! (I know . . . I'm a lucky girl!)
