January Bonus Formula
Layout Sketch
The January Bonus Formula creates a well-balanced two-page spread that is home to a eight (or more) photos. To make the layout, gather five 12x12 papers. Follow the trimming instructions on the printable document, then assemble the pages using the sketch as your guide. Make note of the updates Tricia made to the document - it's easier than ever to follow the step-by-step instructions.
January Bonus Layout - Before Photos - Karen
As you can see, I strayed very little from the original sketch this time.
To replicate my layout, gather the following Bandana papers: Aqua (Paper A), Black (B), and Card Print (C). Two Light Gray Plains (Cartography 11.23) form the base of the two-page spread (Paper D).
Bandana Bonus Pages - After Photos - Karen
After cropping and adhering the photos, it's time to embellish. Nest a sweet cutapart heart onto a black scalloped heart tag topped with a bit of ribbon (left over from my Bandana pages).
A two-part sentiment trimmed from the Card Cutaparts paired perfectly with photos of my grandson. Trim the first half of the sentiment to fit over the 4.25x5.5" mat, adding glue only to the left and right edges.
On the right side, tuck the second half of the sentiment just above and behind the two 3.25x3.75" mats. Nest a single vertical photo onto a red panel, and place it across the twin photo mats.
The "LOVE" cutpart is a nice finishing touch for the layout.
January Bonus Layout - Tricia
Tricia's layout utilized the following paper assignments: Red (Paper A), Black (Paper B), Card Kit Print (Paper C) and two Soft White (Paper D).
Adding a cutapart border strip and sentiment completes the page. Although we used some of the same papers, the layout looks and feels quite different. What do you think?
