January Bonus Formula

Each month active members* receive their member-exclusive email with important links to the bonus page formula, instructions, video tutorials and more. It is sent on the scheduled shipping day and looks like this:

Page Sketch
So much more than just a "sketch", the January Page Formula is designed to create a beautiful two-page spread from five12x12 papers. This month's layout has space for nine or more photos!
To get started, download the formula and gather the number of papers indicated. Trim and sort the cut pieces according to the step-by-step instructions. Finally, assemble the finished layout with the sketch as your guide.
Northwoods Bonus Layout
To recreate the two-page spread below, gather the following papers from the January 2026 collection:
- Paper A = Gray
- Paper B = Brown
- Paper C = Green
- Paper D = (2) Birch Print
In an effort to preserve as much of the Birch Print as possible, I rearranged the elements a bit differently than in the original sketch.
Trimmed elements on the left are flipped 180 degrees from the sketch.
Add journaling to the strip and embellish with an ivory silk flower (Coming Up Roses 04.25).
On the right, I flipped the trimmed elements again 180 degrees, and reserved the 4.25x5.75" mat for another project. Embellish the smallest mats with Leaf Woodcuts.
Crop two horizontal photos to span the space created by the three mats at the bottom of the page.
I just love how these pages came together. They are the perfect backdrop for photos from my son's wedding*.
