Feelin' blue? Create an inspiring array of artwork with the Shibori Stamps.
The Shibori Stamps contain versatile quotes and artistic shapes perfect for creating backgrounds, cards, and pages. Julie and I collaborated this month to make several inspiring projects!
SHIBORI STAMPS
4.25X5.5" CARD #1
Add color to the splatter image with Sapphire Ink. Press onto scrap paper and then stamp again onto a white panel. Continue to add other stamped images in a random pattern. Adhere the Blue Stone Buttons with Bookbinding Glue.
5 x 7" CARD #2
Stamp an assortment of images onto white paper. Cut into four 1-1/8x1-5/8" pieces. Adhere the panels to a Dk. Blue mat with Foam Adhesive Circles for added dimension.
4.25 x 5.5" CARD #3
Rub a blue watercolor crayon onto the Shibori Masking Stencil. Spritz lightly with water and press a sheet of White paper onto the prepared stencil. Stamp the greeting on Medium Blue paper with White Pigment Ink. Embellish with a 1" circle punched from the stenciled background and place it behind the Circular Word Charm.
ALTERED TAG
Laminate a manila shipping tag with a Shibori-style dyed tissue paper. (Stay tuned for later this month for a technique tutorial.) Apply homemade texture paste with a stencil (Wisteria July 2013) and add stamped images with Sapphire ink. Die cut a butterfly and punch flowers from the Shibori papers.
IDEA DECK CARD
Follow the cutting instructions from the Assembly Line Cardmaking Idea Deck - Volume Two 2 of Hearts to create cards with more dyed tissue paper and stamped panels.
EMBOSSED PANELS CARD
Stamp multiple images onto Medium Blue paper with Versamark ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and heat set to melt. Trim the stamped panels into strips and attach to the front of a card.
We hope you are inspired by our Shibori stamp art. Thank you for joining us!
