The Photo Drop Box Workshop will always have a special place in my heart. Last year I submitted this idea to Tricia to be included as a Retreat 2017 workshop.
She loved my prototype and instructions and with her help, we developed the project.
Then she asked me if I would you like to teach the workshop at Retreat this year. Wait . . . WHAT? Of course, I said yes and I am forever grateful to Tricia, Karen and everyone at August Retreat for making this experience one I will never ever forget!
Photo Drop Box
The box holds three stitched books featuring 4.25x6.25 pages to perfectly accommodate 4x6" photos. Each book can hold 24 pictures, and that means a grand total of 72 photos per box!
Jacqueline designed a gorgeous all-over collage print for the exterior of the box. I couldn't resist creating paper flowers with the scraps to embellish the outside.
We included a mat for the front of the box to showcase a favorite photo. I added photo corners to my project to make switching up the featured picture a breeze.
The pages are attached to the spines with a long stitch technique. The silver box knobs are functional as well as decorative.
The spines of each book rest on the cleverly designed ledge at the top of the box.
