Hi, I'm Wendy. The August Main Retreat is well under way. With the staff busy with Retreat attendees, I'm happy to be your guest blogger for today.

I love when a Club Scrap kit just "speaks" to me. I had just written this blog post, Life is Like a Bowl Full of Cherries (reminiscing about my grandparents), before I downloaded the July 2016 Office Space digital kit. Of course I had already seen the spoiler for Office Space, but everything came together after I found this picture of Erma Bombeck:

I enjoy trying new things and art journaling is my newest "thing". Problem is, I am a bit of a perfectionist. BUT I have found a way to make this work for me: I create my art journal layouts digitally and then reproduce the design on paper. I'd like to share the art journal layout I created using Office Space (and inspired by Erma!) along with a how-to video. I measured out the size of my small Dylusions art journal and created a new document in Photoshop Elements (PSE). I started pulling in digital elements and played with where I wanted everything to go.

That AWESOME Office Space Quick Brown Fox Stencil was the missing piece! I immediately ordered one from the Club Scrap online store and then created one in PSE to test out the design for my background.

Once I decided on the final design of my art journal layout, I transferred the perfectly-sized elements to an 8.5 x11 document so that I could print them out on Club Scrap card stock.

I fussy cut the images, collected my supplies and let the magic happen!

Thank you for this fun opportunity to guest blog. I always relish a chance to get creative!
