A Note from Tricia

Oh, my goodness. The dream of finally migrating all of our activities to the new site is about to become a reality. As with all projects of this scope, it took a lot longer than anticipated. A lot.

We're going to be asking for your help soon. It will be necessary for you to set up a shopping profile and your membership in the new shopping area. Our cart is powered by Shopify, one of the most popular E-commerce platforms. By partnering with them, we hope to provide a more streamlined experience that will compare with other sites you frequent. Watch your email for an invitation to make the big move, and we'll be standing by to assist you.

Thanks in advance for your patience as we work to establish new processes during the transition. In the end, we hope it's a more efficient method for all of us. (You know . . . like our crafting techniques.) We appreciate your loyalty and willingness to walk into the future with us!

What’s Ahead?

Each fall we make an appeal to our membership to submit ideas for themes. Karen organizes the suggestions by popularity and we discuss them as a team. We were intrigued by a theme focused on the beautiful art screens used on Japanese sliding room dividers. Member Carol Thelen cleverly suggested "screen time" as the name, but we chose to go with the actual name of "Shoji" to avoid confusion with computer and phone screens. Google "Shoji" to learn more about this stunning art style, and practice saying it three times in a row: shoji, shoji, shoji. Once completed, you'll be prepared for the March collection. It's going to be a stunner!

Inks and Fonts

I'm in love with the font pairing we selected for Rainy Day. Selecting the style of the kit fonts can take hours, and we were thrilled when we came across a hand drawn duo called California Dreamer. For inks this month, you'll want Sapphire, Mahogany, Tangerine, and Lagoon in your stash.

Rainy Day Page Kit

I just completed the workshop video for the Rainy Day pages, and it was fun to experience the magic of this particular set. We've included a 12x12 sheet of cleverly designed Die Cuts. They include a series of image pairs that nest together in unique ways. If you need help figuring out how they work, skip to 16:23 in the workshop video to learn more.

If you like this collection but aren’t a member, it’s not too late to join us! There is no minimum time commitment, so it’s completely risk-free.

Rainy Day Card Kit

If the image above looks a little more "crowded" than usual, that's because it is. The Rainy Day Card Kit makes a whopping sixteen cards and two gift folios! This kit is an unbeatable value at just $21.95, which includes the detailed printable instructions, workshop video, envelopes and materials required.

Rainy Day Stamps

As always, I took a clean and simple approach to my stamping style while experimenting with these images for the first time. There are two timely quote pairings on the 6x8" sheet of clear stamps. And, if you enjoy coloring images with your Copic markers or watercolor pencils, this is the set for you!

After twenty-plus years of making art, I was hard pressed to find a stamp for a "shower" of any kind. Whether for a wedding or baby, we've got you covered now! Combine "for your shower" with any of the sweet images, and you're good to go.

Rainy Day Hybrid

Access the darling art in this collection in digital form with our hybrid option. If you prefer not to use your computer while crafting, that can be avoided for the most part. Each hybrid image is laid out on 8.5x11" printable sheets. Simply open the file, print, and create.

We can't wait to continue to inspire you all month long, rain or shine!

Tricia
