Wishes Page Kit
Every monthly Club Scrap Page Kit creates eight beautiful pages.While I rarely use all of them for a single occasion or event, the July layouts were perfect for documenting a variety of memories from my recent trip to Portugal.
Finished Layouts
This time I chose photos specifically from our day spent in Sintra. We had the opportunity to spend the day touring palaces and castles in the area.
Layout 1 & 2
These pages feature photos from the gardens at Quinta de Regaleira. The estate is a UNESCO World Heritage Site—the unique architecture of the palace is surrounded by lush gardens. Popular folklore often links the estate to secret societies and the Illuminati. The grounds and architecture include hidden features that blend the work of Freemasons and the Knights Templar.
Rather than crop two photos, I trimmed a single horizontal photo to span the space created by the twin vertical Lt. Gray mats.
On the right, an extra snapshot is tucked into the upper right corner of the page.
Layout 3 & 4
The next layout features memories from the historic town square and the National Palace of Sintra. While we didn't venture inside the palace, we did check out the terrace at the Preta Garden which has gorgeous views of the town center below and the mountaintop Castle of the Moors in the background.
I changed very little on this two-page spread, it was nearly perfect "as is". Instead of two smaller photos, I cropped a single photo to cover both Lt. Gray mats on the right page.
Layout 5 & 6
After enjoying the town square and National Palace of Sintra, we began the long uphill walk to Quinta de Regaleira. The route was very scenic, with cobblestone sidewalks and gorgeous views of the town below.
Crop an extra photo to fit the space created by the print to the left of the Lt. Gray photo mat.
Layout 7 & 8
To maximize the number of photos on this spread, I skipped the double mats on the left page (Lt. Gray on Dk. Gray), and instead utilized one of the 4x6 Lt. Gray mats for an extra photo on the right side. A simple shift of the remaining cutaparts and embellishments maintains balance.
I just love the soft colors and nature-inspired artwork of the July Page Kit. The finished layouts are much more versatile than you would imagine. I challenge you to find photos that don't look amazing on this collection!
After trimming* and assembling the pages, it took me a just a little over an hour to select, crop and adhere the photos. I hope my finished layouts have inspired you! What memories will you scrap on the Wishes Page Kit?
