Create unique and interesting backgrounds with the Mixed Media Collage technique.
Mixed Media Collage Tutorial
Add the large iris image to a white panel in Ash Ink.
Stamp the same image onto a masking sheet. Alternatively, you can also use a post-it note making sure the adhesive is under part of the stamped image.
Fussy cut the top of the iris with scissors to create the mask.
Load a water brush with Amethyst watercolor paint. I am using the Peerless Watercolor Paints Sidekick 48-colors pad.
Apply the paint to the flower.
Clean the water brush thoroughly then load with the Olive Green paint.
Add the color to the stem. Allow the panel to dry completely before moving on to the next step.
Cover the flower with the mask.
Apply Moss Ink in a circular motion with an Ink Applicator Brush over the masked image.
Add stamped images over the flower in a variety of ink colors.
Stamp the small flower cluster over the images with Sapphire Ink.
Adhere Mon Amour Vintage Stamps Washi Tape to the panel.
Complete the panel with a stamped sentiment in India Ink. Accent the panel with Flower Power Silver Dazzles.

Lisa created a lovely stamped background with images from Orchard, Kintsugi, and Collections to compliment the large daisy from Bright Blooms. She completed the collage with Butterfly Washi Stickers and Typeset Sentiment Strips.
