In Transit Bonus Formula

Page Formula Sketch

The October Bonus Page Formula helps you transform five sheets of paper into an awesome two-page spread that holds nine (or more!) photos.

In Transit Page Formula Sketch

Assembled Layout

To replicate my pages, gather the following In Transit papers: Collage Print (A), Blue (B), Black (C) and two Gray Plains (D). Follow the cutting diagrams to trim the papers; assemble the layout according to the sketch.

Finished Two-page Spread

This layout was perfect for photos from the 2019 Club Scrap Anniversary Cruise. Not only is the artwork ideal, the color palette is perfect as well!

In lieu of the 1/4" strip on the left, I used leftover sheer blue ribbon from the Page Kit across the lower third of the page.

Trimmed paper from the Pack of Panels creates a spot for journaling. To keep your writing from going "downhill", use a pencil and the CS® Grid Ruler to lightly draw guidelines.

Add the ship image from the Travel Sticker Sheet to the small ivory mats at the bottom of the left page. (Reverse side of the Collage Print.)

On the right, rotating the entire page 90 degrees is a better fit for the ratio of vertical to horizontal photos. Here's the original layout...

...and after rotation.

Use POPs to create a double mat for the sticker sentiment and adhere across both panels in the lower left corner of the page.

Tricia's sketch shows rounded corners on many elements on this two-page spread, giving the layout a more casual feel. You could easily skip the corner rounder to change the look of the finished pages.

I hope you find my finished layout and assembly tips inspiring. If you're a club member, be sure to download your bonus page formula soon and take it for a test drive using any papers from your stash.
