Create a set of four Gnome Soaring Eagle Cards featuring the 2023 Club Scrap holiday special edition collection. On September 16, Tricia taught a Soaring Eagle Card virtual workshop on the One of Kind Facebook group. During the presentation, students learned how to make a set of four clever "Soaring Eagle" cards. I couldn't wait to make a set featuring this adorable artwork.
Gnome Soaring Eagle Cards
Purchase and download the instructions from the Soaring Eagle Card Workshop. Gather papers from the Gnome for Christmas collection and follow the paper assignments below:
Paper A, B, C, D = Brown, Green, Rose, Ivory
Paper E = Black (from stash)
(2) Paper F = Border Prints
Trim the plain papers as directed in the detailed instructions. Place the prints in the paper trimmer with the borders positioned vertically.
Adjust the trimming measurements so the largest cut areas include the borders.
In this case, cut at 7.5, 7 and 4.5".
Continue to follow the cutting instructions as directed for the individual pieces.
The 2.5x12 is trimmed to create the sentiment panels. Stamp each sentiment with Spruce or Red ink.
Add a small snowflake with Ash ink and the candy cane image in Red to compliment the sentiments.
Deal out the individual elements needed for each card, creating four piles.
Assemble each card according to the instructions.
You could stop there, but why not use the paper scraps to die cut shapes?
These snowflakes are a perfect match with the collection. Adhere the snowflakes to the front of the cards with Bookbinding Glue dispensed from a Needle-tipped Applicator.
Let's take another look at the completed cards.
Stack all four cards together with four A7 envelopes and tie with ribbon for a great hostess gift idea!
