The moment I discovered the theme for July was Office Space, I knew I wanted to create a mini book using manila file folders. There were so many choices and designs out there. I didn't follow any one tutorial exactly, but rather used each design I found as inspiration.

Trim a center-tab manila file folder vertically to 7 inches tall, keeping the tab centered. Use a Scor-pal to score folder vertically every 5 inches. This leaves approximately 2 extra inches at the end with the centered tab, where the book will open.

Each section of the book should now measure 5x7". Using an Envelope Punch Board, use manila folder scraps to make mini file folders to fit one 5x7" section. (Isn't the typewriter image from the Art Nouveau UM so adorable?) The Silver Clips keep the mini file folders closed when needed.

Trim two Office Space Prints to 6.75 x 9.5". Fold each in half to create a 4.75 x 6.75" signatures. Use pamphlet stitch to add along one fold inside the book.

Embellish inside pages using elements from the Office Space Embellishment Pack and the awesome Quick Brown Fox Stencil with Earth Ink.

I also added decorated coin envelopes from my stash to hold hidden treasures.

The Faux Leather strap from the Office Space Fiber pack is used as a closure.

I encourage you to look at "real" office supplies and find a fun way to incorporate them into your Office Space projects. Now I'm off to work on those TPS reports...
