After seeing Hetty's coffee Christmas cards, we invited her to share more details with you!
My craziness for all things coffee-related started after I became a member of Club Scrap and saw the Mocha Java (November 2002) kit. I found myself posting coffee cards using nearly every scrap, until a new coffee-themed kit arrived.
I wanted to make a tribute post to Club Scrap for feeding my coffee addiction over the years, by making cards using supplies from their past coffee-themed kits.
Since Club Scrap is also famous for its formulas, I used the Z-fold formula (Deluxe Card Formula #9) to create six cards in a jiffy. Just gather and trim papers from the Coffeehouse card kit and the Brewed Awakenings collection (2012 special release), then sort and dry fit the pieces.
After finishing all six cards, I decided to share two here on the Club Scrap blog. I'll share two more on the Coffee Loving Card Makers Blog and the last two on my personal blog, Craftchaos. It's kind of like hosting my own private blog hop!
Coffee Christmas Card #1
Stamp Coffeehouse "You're brew-tiful" sentiment stamp and the word "Christmas" (from an extinct Club Scrap holiday stamp sheet) in red ink. Use markers to color cappuccino image with brown and green. Stamp coffee beans and heat-emboss using gold EP. Embellish with green paper leaves (SU leaf punch).
Coffee Christmas Card #2
Use ink and and an applicator tool with the Mocha Java stencil (November 2002) to decorate the ivory strip. Stamp the coffee beans and cup from the Coffeehouse stamp sheet with brown ink. Add a Coffeehouse sticker sentiment.
The coffee cup image on the inside of the card was also created using the Mocha Java stencil.
