Create a 5.5 x 7” Faux Book and 3.5 x 5” Glue-free Book Insert using papers from your stash. Now available in our hybrid store, the download includes 3-page written instructions and a link to a full-length video tutorial.
To make this project, you’ll need:
- (1) 12x12 Folding Board
- (2) 12x12 Paper A
- (2) 12x12 Paper B
- (1) 12x12 Paper C
- (2) 12x12 Paper D
You'll need just a few basic tools as well: A 12-inch paper trimmer, accordion pocket file, ScorePal, and adhesive. (We recommend bookbinding glue in a needle-tipped applicator.)
Why is it called a “Book in a Faux Book”? The outer book is actually a cover with an accordion-folded frame that looks like faux pages. The opening created by the frame holds a second, actual book. The inner book features a unique glue-free book structure in which the spine can be removed, allowing the inner pages to open like an accordion. (See video below.)
Once you have the instructions downloaded, you can make as many projects as you like! The Book in a Faux book is a great size, making it perfect for documenting a special trip or occasion.
