Constellations Blog Hop

It’s time for the January Blog Hop starring the Constellations collection!

As soon as I heard the theme for the January kit, I knew I wanted to make a star book. I made one a number of years ago, and I liked it so much, I thought it would be fun to make another with Constellations.

The finished size is 6×6″, and the pockets hold 4×6″ photos.

Instead of paper clips, I punched holes and tied ribbons to connect the pages. I think it adds a bit of flair.

Rather than re-invent the wheel, I’ll let Tricia walk you through the process in her TV Weekly video. I varied my project slightly from the video; I pierced my holes at .5, 1.5, 4.5 and 5.5″ along the spine. I’ve included a list of supplies I used after the list of hoppers below.

Here’s a complete list of our bloggers in case you get lost along the way. Be sure to leave a comment if you like what you see. Happy Hopping!

  1. PERFECT project for this kit! I hope I have enough paper left over to make one for me! My son is powerlifting at school and this book would be perfect to go with all the pictures I’m taking!

  2. I LOVE your Star book. They have always scared me for some reason. Not that I don’t have a few in my stash. I am really loving that wedding picture too!!!

  3. Been awhile since I saw one of those, I know I have a kit to make one…somewhere. By the way how is it that Tricia looks younger now than in that old video?

  4. This is terrific! I would love to make that and add photos of my theatre star!
And thanks for the peek at the wedding photo. You are so beautiful!

  5. Great idea Karen! I’ve only recently made a star book and it was fun to put together! This version is great with the Constellations kit, and I really like how you used the ribbons on the end instead of the paper clips – pretty and clever!

  6. AMAZINGLY Beautiful Karen!! This was one of the very first projects I ever tackled when I began paper crafting in the 90’s. So fun and thanks for the video link too. 🙂 Love all the pics of you and the Mike Man!

  7. Karen what a beautiful book. Constellations was a perfect kit for this project. Beautiful pics also, your wedding picture is gorgeous!
Thanks so much for sharing this and the video also.

  8. What a way to show someone how much you love that person! This book can be kept on a desk, on the mantle, in a purse…excellent!

  9. Tricia taught me my very first Star Book, at a CS Mini Retreat many years ago! We used the Salsa collection! They are so fun!
