July’s Technique is brought to you by Artist Team member, Roni Johnson. Take it away, Roni!
WATERCOLOR WINDOW FRAME TECHNIQUE
I chose this technique because it’s fun to be able to use your stamps in different ways. Making a frame out of them is the perfect way to incorporate several stamps in a one-layer card and really make a statement.See Tricia’s original post for full instructions.
Tricia’s beautiful card was made using one of my favorite kits, Wisteria. (It’s part of the reason I chose this technique!)
You can achieve these results in a few simple steps:
Select images, ink and stamp in corners of panel.
Use a grid ruler and watercolor pencil to draw a frame connecting the images.
Use a water brush to soften and blend the pencil line.
Add a stamped sentiment and other embellishments as desired.
Fun, right? I also made a card using stamps from the Nice to See You collection.
This technique looks great with 50s Kitchen papers and stamps, too!
Watch my personal blog throughout the coming month for more samples featuring this fun technique.
Now it’s your turn to give this technique a try! We invite you to share your creation on the Linky Party below by July 31. One link will be chosen at random to win a Club Scrap Gift Certificate for our online store. Now go get crafting!

Fun technique choice Roni. I’ll have to give this a go.
