The Farm Critters pages should be arriving at your doorstep soon if you've selected the first of the month as your shipping day. (Keep in mind that the 1st fell on a weekend, and kits were shipped on Monday.)
The printed instructions provide the basic details of page assembly, but you might find it helpful to take a closer look.
Farm Critters Page Kit
Layouts 1 & 2
We found these adorable wooden pig buttons! Add them to the upper right corner of the left page with waxed linen thread from your stash. Place the button in the desired spot, pierce stitching holes with a paper piercing tool, and sew into place.
Many cutaparts have a freestyle frame. To add a bit of whimsy, cut along the outside edge of the frame with scissors by loosely following the frame shape. Once trimmed, tie with gingham ribbon and glue a silver pig charm next to the knot.
Layouts 3 & 4
Repeat the same trimming process to add shape to the blue-framed journaling prompt and top with the second silver pig charm.
Tie the green grosgrain-edged satin ribbon around the nested title strip before adding to the top of the left page. Trim the ends in a "v" shape by folding the ribbon in half lengthwise and cutting at an angle toward the knot.
Layouts 5 & 6
The cutaparts contain a series of words sized to fit within the chalkboard stickers perfectly. Each word will be 7/8x1-1/2". If you wish, trim directly around the text and staple with ribbon before adhering to the sticker.
Top the silly silver cow charm with an ombré raffia bow and glue to the top right corner of the chicken cutapart.
Layouts 7 & 8
Trim a piece of gingham to approximately 14" and add above the border strip on the lower left page. Tape the ends onto the back of the layout, and tie a bow onto the ribbon with a second piece of gingham. Cut around the frame of the pig cutapart and add to the page, keeping the upper right corner free of adhesive so a photo can be added later.
Add the smaller "farmer" cutapart to the lower right corner of the border strip and top with the adorable barn charm.
