The moment the Botanicals paper samples arrived in my hands, I literally dropped everything, cleared my workspace, and got to work on the layouts and cards. You might want to be prepared for the same response.
Botanicals Deluxe Kit
LAYOUTS 1 & 2
The bronze flowers add such a nice touch when attached with the rhinestone brads. The metal is pliable, lightweight, and won't add bulk to the layout.
LAYOUTS 3 & 4
Layer the laser cut wood veneer bird onto a ribbon-wrapped cutapart for a "tweet" embellishment. Pick up a few extra birds to experiment with acrylic paints and stamped images.
LAYOUTS 5 & 6
The Lilac cutapart is layered with a slightly longer Brown matte. Crisscross two lengths of the pretty green grosgrain ribbon around the matte and tie the ribbons together at the intersection with a shorter length.
LAYOUTS 7 & 8
We were happy to be able to feature this special quote by Leonard Nimoy in the collection.
LAYOUTS 9 & 10
Trim a small length of the lilac ribbon, fold it in half, and tuck it behind the satin ribbon flower. Glue Dots work well for attaching the embellishments.
LAYOUTS 11 & 12
The rhinestone brad fits right on top of the center opening in the wood veneer flower.
The natural wood looks terrific with the collection.
LAYOUTS 13 & 14
The pink panel nests onto a Lilac cutapart and makes the perfect perch for the second veneer bird.
Before using the Lilac cutapart as a layer, we removed the artwork from the center.
After making more precise cuts around the image, it was then used on the other side of the layout.
Waste not, want not!
Botanicals Greetings to Go
SET A
What does the inside of this silly card say? "This one." You'll find the same quote on the UM Greeting stamps, so be sure to pick it up if you want to use the sentiment again and again.
SET B
The "tent" cards are 4.25x5.5" and mail perfectly flat in an A2 envelope. The card consists of two scored pieces: an accordion-folded base and the tent. It's a simple construction, and more details can be found in the assembly instructions.
SET C
The kit comes with coordinating flower sequins and brads to attach them. (We try to think of everything.)
